Rubber Tracks

            Music, by its very nature is a creative, fun process full of interesting things happening. Not often though, do you see major companies doing things to give back to the music community. Converse, who credits a lot of it’s longevity to the music community, has started a free recording studio in Brooklyn called Rubber Tracks. All an artist has to do is book their recording time and show up. Rubber Tracks promotes artists without legally tying them down to anything. Any artist looking to have a high quality recording as well as cutting the recording costs, to nothing, would be well advised to check out rubber tracks. The advantages go both ways, Converse started Rubber Tracks to give back to the music community that supported them and gave them the brand they have today, as well as reintroducing them to a new musical generation by keeping things fresh.

To have all these guys on one stage would have been an honor to see. Prince never gets the credit he deserves, he is defiantly one of the best guitarist out there. Watch this whole video. Each performer gives you a different but awesome feeling. Princes solo, well i am just speechless about that. Oh yeah where did his guitar go? Wow just an amazing performance by all!

Album Cover's

Do you remember running out to the music store to buy an album that you couldn’t wait to listen to? You would run home put it in your cd player and read the album’s cover from the beginning to end. So I have touched a little on Mp3 in my previous post. What bums me out about cd slowly disappearing is that the covers will also be gone. To me these covers where a way for artist to express themselves in other ways of art. So am I the only one that feels sad about loosing that part in the music world? Really is there a way of saving this aspect of the album? Yes there is Facebook and personal websites they can use to expose their other side, but is it really the same?

One topic of discussion and should be placed in the brain of everyone, is that Mp3 is the way to go. If you want to support any artist then purchase through Mp3. Before and kind of still now if you purchased a cd from the store or online most of the time the artist never made much off of their albums. They solely relied on shows and their promotional gear (clothing, etc.). Also really it makes more sense to buy Mp3. Not only for the artist sake but also for your pockets sake. How many of you have cd’s that you love every song on the album? Plus have you looked at your cd’s recently? I have wow did I play Frisbee with them on the pavement? So buying a song for .99 and storing it, even if you don’t have an Mp3 player and are still using cd’s, you will have your favorite playlist for as long as you live. Really it’s a win win situation for everyone involved. You don’t have to go to just I-tunes anymore, you can go to their Facebook pages, spotify, amazon, etc. Mp3 is for sure the way to go.

Lets start the blog out by saying this is all about the passion for music.  So anyone that has information or opinions on music is welcomed. Sharing music is a way of advertises. There is great sound out there that people have never heard of, which sometimes blows my mind. This blog is not biased towards any sound.
